We resurface from the ashes of "Sydney Esoteric Bookshop" (later becoming Infinity Bookshop) and, "Cameron Books" - all of which operated throught the 80's and 90's and the early years of the 21st. century. Avalon Archives commenced business in 2004 and has become one of the largest retailers of second hand spiritual books in Australia operating by website, catalogue, Ebay, and exhibiting at psychic fairs, Mind Body and Spirit festivals, healing festivals, music festivals, UFO conferences, street fairs and markets. (see the exhibtions and fairs page for dates, places and times) Stock is sourced from all over Australia - from private individuals, warehouses, sales, charity shops, markets, in fact wherever quality books can be found. The reason for the emphasis on recycled and rare books is to show that all contemporary sources of spiritual knowledge have antecedents in the literary field. There is a stream of wisdom that has existed throughout the ages and it hasn't just been discovered in the last 10 or 20 years. Many of the most popular New Age titles are repeating information contained in many books which are from the past and are rarely seen on the bookshelves of retail bookstores....we are attempting to bring lost knowledge to all those who are seekers of of the deepest spiritual wisdom.
Avalon Archives is located in the beautiful and majestic Blue Mountains west of Sydney
in downtown Leura nestled among the crags, cliffs, and ravines of one
of the most special locations in the world. This is a World Heritage
listed National Park with 40,000 years (possibly 60,000?) of continuous
civilization and contains many important indigenous sacred sites – most
of which have not been revealed to the general public. The Blue
Mountains region is considered to be a highly psychic location and a
hotspot for UFO sightings. Besides selling books we make, collect, renovate and sell furniture
(and anything we can get our hands on) and Deb, as well as working
fulltime in child welfare, has started “Devic Vegies”
and is growing and promoting non-gm, heritage and heirloom vegetable
seedlings that are sold at our world famous garage sales and at local
